FAQ: Charcoal v. Gas Grills

There is a huge debate on which is better: charcoal or gas grills. Many individuals have debated for decades on why the gas grill is better versus the charcoal. There are some individuals that still swear by charcoal grills and turn their noses up at gas grills; and then there are those who simply do not care either way.
- Q: Can either grill get used indoors?
- A: It is unwise to use any grill inside any facility except cooking establishments. Restaurant chains often use gas to power their commercial grills and ovens; however, there is a complex ventilation system that sucks out any harmful fumes that may harm the employees. Private homes and screened-in patios should not house any sort of grill.
- Q: Which makes food taste better?
- A: Which grill makes food taste better is a matter of opinion. Some enjoy the smokey charcoal flavor that they have enjoyed for several years, and perhaps grew up on. Others enjoy not having the charcoal overpower the seasoning from the food on the gas grill.
- Q: Which grill is healthier?
- A: Studies show that both grills have their side effects. Individuals are eating the cooked-in fumes from coal, while others are eating cooked-in fumes from gas. While both are semi-safe, many argue that the gas grill is healthier.
- Q: Which is less expensive?
- A: Both grill manufacturers have evolved significantly. The charcoal grill manufacturers have stepped up the game in an attempt to keep up with the other grill manufacturers in the realm of fancy shelves and knick-knacks. Both grills are equally as expensive as the other.
